Scout the Coast (Luxon HFFF) revisited
After a day or two of testing and tweaking, I can consistently complete the Scout the Coast quest in under 2:15. I've written up my build and posted a video of a run at pvxwiki:
http://www.pvxwiki.com/wiki/Build:Te...the_Coast_HFFF
I have seen several people claim that this run can be done faster than this. Some have even quoted a time of 1:30. I would dearly love to see their builds and flagging strategy.

To make it easier on your wrists, you can bring 2 dervs instead of 2 assassins. Add the Avatar of Balthazar. That adds a constant 33% run speed, and you still spam dash everytime it's recharged.

and eternal aura for recharge on AoB. I have never done this so I don't know how long AoB needs to last but eternal helps the recharge(or it used to)
so all the red dots in the post are where you need to flag your heroes?....hff kurz seems easier

Consider going with a Para secondary and putting Godspeed & Fall Back on your skillbar. This will give your heroes and henchies an added speed buff in the beginning. I have used them when doing HFF on the Kurzick side and it works really well.

Eternal Aura is a PvE skill, so heroes can't use it.
EDIT:To the above comment: Party speed buffs like those you mentioned work wlel in kurzick hfff because you use the two warrior henchmen as well, and they dont have speed buffs. Here you dont need the henchmen so you wont really need it.

In my build, the heroes are never slower than 133% normal speed. Since speed buffs don't stack beyond that, there is no point in having other buffs. The hench in my build doesn't need the buff as even at normal speed it will beat heroes #2 and #3 to their points.

Thanks for posting the build and guide Esan.
A few questions -
1. Have you considered [skill=text]Storm Djinn's Haste[/skill]? E/A's can keep it up constantly and you can still use Dash.
2. What do you all of the 'chord' references mean in the Flagging section?!? Any chance you can dumb that down a rung or two as it makes no sense to me
3. Which heroes go where, at what time and in what sequence? I think that's what you're trying to explain using chords, but there's no obvious match between heroes and locations.

Would it not be more than 9,930 an hour? If you do in under 2:15 every run, a full run should take about 2:30-2:45. So 60/2:45 is approx 24 runs. If every run gives you 2,000 Luxon Points, 2*2,000 would be bout 49. That would be 98k Faction for Luxon Allegiance Rank.

Yeah, I considered all the 33% skills. SDH has a .25 second cast and a 1.75 second aftercast, and it needs to be used about 5 times in the longest run. This increases its total time by over 8 seconds.

One firing of skill 1 or skill 2 on all three heros is what I'm calling a 'chord'. The way I activate them is to press 7, 8 and 9 (or 4, 5 and 6) on the numeric keypad simultaneously with three fingers. As long as you're mentally counting them, you can use them to time your flags.
About which heroes go where, the text says it already. Granted, the picture can make this clearer, and I would welcome suggestions.

If you see the video attached, you'll note that the heroes finish running at about 1:48. However, the time in the video is end to end -- from zoning out of Breaker Hollow until zoning back in, including all map loading latencies, which brings it to 2:14. I can now reliably bring it even further down to 2:10. However, this is nowhere close to the 1:30 I've heard some people claim.
I chose my flag points to be the minimal set that does not confuse the heroes. The flag schedule was calculated by switching the camera to them and recording their run with fraps. I really doubt the schedule can be significantly improved with this build and running path, but by all means prove me wrong with a better schedule.
The texmod can wait until we have found the best path. There is no point in training for a suboptimal run.

Again, the 2:15 is end to end. So 3600/135 = 26.7 runs = 10,667 faction/h. The figure in the build article is incorrect, but not by much (fixing now). Every run gives 400 faction points, not 2000.
